Customer Service Engineer

Thermoflow is seeking one or more customer service engineers. Activities include providing software training and support to our customers, making sales presentations to potential new customers, and assisting with general liaison between our software developers and our customers. The necessary qualifications are:

1. Extensive experience as a user of Thermoflow's software products, with demonstrable expertise in their use to construct useful, working models.
2. Demonstrable knowledge of power plant engineering, including fluency in the basic underlying concepts.
3. Degree in a related engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Chemical. An advanced degree and an excellent academic record would both be positive factors.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Fluency in any language other than English is also a strong plus.
5. A high degree of motivation and ability to project a positive, confident professional image.

Computer Science, Software Engineers, Programmers

Thermoflow is seeking to recruit fresh graduates in Computer Science, with the following qualifications:

1. Outstanding academic record.
2. Knowledge of software development for web-based applications.
3. Some understanding of internet/intranet architecture and associated security issues.

Thermoflow has a suite of well-established, widely-used software products for designing power plants; and is developing the next generation of these products, transitioning from the PC-based environment to a web-hosted environment. Although many technical staff at Thermoflow have Ph.D. degrees, we are seeking recent graduates at any level, and are especially interested in hiring fresh S.M. graduates with a genuine passion for software.

Strong preference will be given to US citizens or permanent residents.

Thermoflow is a small but very successful company, founded by a former MIT faculty member. Over half our technical staff have MIT graduate degrees, and our technical staff is stable, with very low turnover . Mechanical, Aero/Astro, or Chemical Engineers

Thermoflow is seeking to recruit recent graduates in Mechanical, Aero/Astro, or Chemical Engineering. The qualifications are:

1. Outstanding academic record in a relevant engineering department.
2. Achievement of excellent grades in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and related areas.
3. Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamental engineering basics of the thermal sciences, and particularly in their practical application.
4. Interest and/or some experience in writing software.

Although most technical staff at Thermoflow have Ph.D. degrees, we are seeking recent graduates at any level, and are especially interested in hiring fresh S.M. graduates with a genuine passion for energy engineering.
